Vagabond

Vagabond (Japanese: バガボンド, Hepburn: Bagabondo) is a renowned Japanese epic martial arts manga series that is both written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. The narrative presents a dramatized version of the life of the legendary Japanese swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, drawing inspiration from Eiji Yoshikawa’s novel Musashi. Since its debut in September 1998, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Morning, with its chapters compiled into 37 tankōbon volumes by July 2014. Viz Media acquired the rights for English publication in North America and successfully released all 37 volumes by April 2015. The series has been on an indefinite break since May 2015.
